Mountain Obsession’s Privacy Policy

Mountain Obsession and Mountain Obsession Holdings Inc. takes our tribe member’s privacy very seriously. Our privacy policy describes what information MO collects and how it is utilized. If you register for The Summit Star, our bi-weekly newsletter, you can unsubscribe at any time of the day, or night. As Mountain Obsession is a tribe of likeminded individuals, your email will not be sold to 3rd parties. #4 of our Manifesto is “Think Karma” – we wouldn’t want our emails sold, so we certainly won’t do it to you.

Routine Information Collection

All web servers track basic information about their visitors – this is the internet 101. This information typically includes, but is not limited to, IP addresses, browser details, timestamps and referring pages. None of this information can personally identify specific visitors to this site. The information is tracked for routine administration and maintenance purposes only.

Cookies and Web Beacons

Wherever it is deemed necessary, utilizes cookies – the online ones, not the kind we all love eating on the mountain – to store information about a visitor’s preferences and history in order to better serve our tribe members/visitors and/or present the visitor with customized content. An example would be once you subscribe to the mailing list, a cookie is stored in order to prevent you for getting a subscribe pop-up every time you stop by.

Advertising partners and other third parties may also use cookies, scripts and/or web software to track visitors to the Mountain Obsession website in order to display advertisements and other useful information. Such tracking is done directly by the third parties and is linked through their own servers . Thus, they are subject to their own privacy policies.

Affiliate Links

Mountain Obsession Holdings Inc. occasionally participates in affiliate programs, which allows us to earn a small commission when products we recommend are purchased through our links – it is a nice way to help offset some of the costs of running the Global Mountain Tribe. For further information on who we are affiliated with or to start an affiliate partnership, please contact us.
