I can hike for days, I love walking, exploring… we backpacked up to Porphyry Basin in Colorado, other than a severely damaged toe, the views were out of this world!

I can sleep in a tent for days, weeks, waking up in the canyons is one of my all-time favorite things.

08-600-Ann-Brampton-Sedona (2)

I’m incredibly afraid of heights and this has always been a challenge for me when I’m outdoors, standing on Devil’s Bridge in Sedona was a major accomplishment!

07-600-Ann-Brampton-Mee Canyon (2)

On a rafting trip down the Colorado River we stopped to hike some of Mee Canyon, finding Arch Tower was the highlight of the trip!

06-600-Ann-Brampton-Coffee (2)

Morning coffee at the campsite is one of the best things ever!

04-600-Ann-Brampton-Hermosa (2)

Hermosa Beach is a surf spot in Costa Rica and also where my son lives, this is second home to me, never a dull sunset.

03-600-Ann-Brampton-Mantas (2)

I’ve spent most of my life on the beach, a day on the sand, my kayak and a good book is bliss

02-600-Ann-Brampton-Manuel Antonio (2)

Manuel Antonio National Park in Costa Rica was recently named one of the top natural wonders of the world. I’m lucky enough to call it my back yard, never get tired of visiting this place.

I love kayaking the beaches in Costa Rica, going alone is a great time to reflect, explore and have some much needed offline time.

The Lowdown:

“The best things in life aren’t things” ~ Ann Landers.

Many years ago I discovered this to be true, nothing soothes my soul the way the outdoors does, be it a quick walk on the beach, a 3 day backpacking trip or a week on the river. I consider myself very lucky, I live between my 2 favorite places, Costa Rica and Colorado. I work online doing Social Media consulting and I specialize in outdoor and travel. Kayaking the coast of Costa Rica, exploring the rainforest, rafting the Colorado River, hiking in the canyons or just chilling on the beach, I’m thankful to have experienced many places… and I still have a very long bucket list!
